Bulgaria is country very rich of cave systems. There are horizontal caves as mach as vertical and water caves. More of the most besutiful and easy accesible caves are lit and equpped for tourists. Sach as Ledenika, Magurata, Yagodinskata, Dyavolskoto Garlo, Saevata Dupka, Bacho Kiro, Snejanka, Orlova Chuka.
The biggest one is Duhlata - 17500m. It is a sophisticated labyrinth system with beautiful crystals, underground rivers, various cave formations. In recent years new parts of the cave was found (by the group of Club Extreme) and there are still perspective cracks. Another big cave is Orlova Chuka - 13437m that is situated in the Rusenski Lom Gorge. And Yagodinska Cave - 8250m with archeological fragments.
The deepest are Raychovata Dupka Cave - (-372m), Barki N14 - (-350m), Kipilovo - (-350m), Thizuin - (-320m), Belyara - (-282m) etc. Biggest abyss Druzhba - (-130m).
There are very beautiful water caves in Bulgaria suitable for black water rafting. Such as Boninskata Cave - 4753m, Vodopada - 2000m, Maarata - 1600m, Ponora - 2948m, Parnitsite - 2500m, Devetashka Cave - 1500m, etc.
There are many active speleo clubs in Bulgaria implementing the very new geophysics and hydrogeology methods for investigation and exploation of new cave systems. Recently a lot of discoveries are made. New ones are challenging the explorers.
